Better SEO for your WhyPark Sites

Specifying a Keywords Meta Tag for your WhyPark Sites

By default, WhyPark does not include a keywords metatag in your template. While this is not a super important tag, every SEO worth his salt will recommend you use it. Here's a small hack to help improve the search engine optomization of your websites.

The keyword meta tag looks like this:

<meta name="keywords" content="type,your, keywords here,separated by commas,but,not,spaces" />

As I pointed out in my post about specifying a different character set, there's a spot for the Google Sitemap Verification meta tag when you first add (or later edit) your domain. There's plenty of room to add a keyword metatag to that field, so simply add the keyword tag there. Now, all other things being equal, your site will outperform a site that lacks that tag, and you haven't broken any standards by placing meta tags in the body of your page.
